Colour Index: Pigment Blue 29-77007
CAS No.: [57455-37-5]
Ultramarine blue pigment is the oldest and most vivid blue pigment. It is non toxic, environmentally friendly and it belongs to the inorganic pigment family. When it is applied for improving whiteness, it can eliminate the white pigment or the yellow light. Ultramarine is extremely stable, because of its insolubility in water, alkali resistance and anti-corrosion in the atmosphere. But since it is not resistant to acid, it will decompose and discolor in acidic conditions. Ultramarine blue is regarded as one of the safest pigments.
Ultramarine blue pigments are widely used in plastic, printing inks, paint, paper, soap detergents and cosmetics
